Bob Newland wanted medical weed,
and his newsletter was big indeed.
But the feds found his stash,
and his rights lie in ash.
Now he can't even speak of the deed.

I have a long history of protest limericks, even if none have shown up in my Deviantart up to this point.
On July 6 Bob Newland, 60, advocate for "South Dakotans for Safe Access" was sentenced to 6 weeks jailtime and his right to speak on behalf of cannabis policy reform was suspended for 1 year. Luckily, this silencing order will probably draw more media attention than it would have otherwise. [link] |
